Book Selling FAQ: What to expect when Selling Books
What counts as EXCELLENT condition?
The books must be free of any mold or damage (including water damage), and must not smell musty. They cannot have highlighting or underlining.
My books are all in great condition, why didn’t you want them?
All of the purchases and trades we make for store inventory are done depending on current demand, current inventory, and the condition of the item.
Can I drop off/leave my books while you assess them?
Due to space constraints we can’t allow people to drop off books. When you bring in your books you’ll have to stay and look around while we go through them. This typically doesn’t take very long.
How does trading work?
Books of any genre can be evaluated for trade credit.
Trade credit will be issued in one of two ways depending on the books that you are trading in. Romance novels (both paperback and hardback) earn trade credit for only romance novels (both paperback and hardback). All other books can be traded in and used in several areas: any paperback book from downstairs, romance, or westerns (excluding Louis L’amour).
