We are a small, independent, and locally owned, 'Mom and Pop' Bookshop.
The Bookshop on the Avenue opened more than 38 years ago in the heart of Lynchburg City and has been providing the community with an affordable place to buy used books ever since. Remember: when you buy locally the money you spend stays in the local community.
We have crammed our three-story bookshop full of wonderful used books. We add an average of 200 reasonably priced used books to our shelves every day! Come see why locals call our Bookshop a landmark in Lynchburg!
